Overview & History
The Bombardier Global 6000 is part of Bombardier’s Global family. The members of the family are the largest business jets that Bombardier produces.
The original global aircraft was the Global Express. The Global Express was a wildly popular long-range aircraft.
Bombardier has built on its success and now offers a number of Global aircraft variants. The family starts with the Global 5000 and goes right up to the Global 8000.
Bombardier has designed the Global 6000 with the purpose of “forgetting you are flying”. They also describe the Global 6000 as being “the smoothest part of your day”.
The Global 6000 functions as a long-range aircraft that can effectively connect any two points of the globe.
Featuring a highly flexible wing provides a comfortable rude during turbulence – along with every other part of the flight.
Production of the Global 6000 started in 2012 and has made its way to being the flagship aircraft of NetJets fleet.
Notably, the Bombardier Global 6000 is the largest business jet that can fly direct from Aspen to London City Airport. This, therefore, demonstrates its range, performance and steep approach capabilities.
Bombardier Global 6000 Performance
Two rear-mounted Rolls-Royce BR710A2-20 turbofan engines power the Global 6000. Each engine produces up to 14,750 lbs of thrust.
This enables the Global 6000 to take off in 6,476 feet and land in just 2,236 feet (minimum).
Bombardier has made the Global 6000 capable of flying up to 6,000 Nautical Miles (6,904 Miles / 11,112 KM) without needing to refuel.
Furthermore, the Global 6000 can cruise at 516 knots and reach a maximum altitude of 51,000 feet.
Bombardier Global 6000 Interior
Unsurprisingly the Global 6000 has a well-appointed interior. The interior has been designed to bring you the smoothest, most refreshing, and productive experience possible from a business jet.
Thanks to the widest cabin in its class, more room is on offer than its nearest competitor. In Bombardier’s own words; “with outstanding width, higher armrests, and an impeccably shaped backrest, the new seats allow passengers to enjoy a delightful and inviting experience, ideally suited to long-distance travel.
Whether you wish to work, rest or play, time will simply fly by as you sit back in this exceptional interior.”
The galley features hardwood flooring, seats sculpted to the human body, and elegantly designed lines. Featuring Bombardier’s cabin management system you can control the whole cabin from your fingertips.
The ultra-fast and intuitive media bay allows you to watch films, live stream, and display documents on the TV monitors.
Bombardier has even developed the cabin management system to be controllable from your mobile device (iOS and Android). The media bay onboard allows you to connect a host of devices, such as game consoles, Blu-ray players, and digital media players.
The 6000 has the fastest available in-flight internet connectivity worldwide based on Ka-band technology. Join video conferences, stream films, and even online game. Bombardier offers a variety of data packages. These packages allow you to find the right speed for your needs. Ka-band technology is the fastest in the air (up to 15 Mbps). Additionally, Ka-band provides the best coverage and reliability.
At the rear of the aircraft, you will find the stateroom. This adds “a sense of tranquility” with large windows providing ample natural light. The stateroom features a full-berth divan, spacious wardrobe, independent temperature control, and lavatory area.
When you are flying above the clouds on a long flight it is imperative that you eat well. The large fully-equipped galley guarantees this. Substantial storage capacity and extensive work surfaces allow for greater meal capabilities.
Finally, ensure that your crew are always performing at their best. A dedicated crew rest area will take care of this.

Cockpit
As you would expect from Bombardier, the Global 6000 has all the latest and greatest technology.
The Global 6000 is equipped with the revolutionary Bombardier Vision flight deck. Claimed by Bombardier to be “business aviation’s most advanced avionics suite”. The ultimate ergonomics and aesthetics provide pilots with outstanding comfort and control.
Features such as the synthetic vision system and the MultiScan weather radar help enhance situational awareness. Through reducing pilot workload, you can be sure that you will enjoy a safer and more efficient flight.
Naturally, Bombardier has also applied their high standards of interior design to the cockpit. Featuring double-stitched leather, brushed metallic controls, and carbon fiber accents, the cockpit design seamlessly blends with the rest of the cabin.
Bombardier Global 6000 Charter Cost
The charter cost for a Bombardier Global 6000 is estimated to be just over $8,000 per flight hour. Naturally, prices will vary depending on availability, fuel prices, ground fees, and more.
If you are considering a Global 6000 then a Dassault Falcon 7X will be the closest competitor. With similar range and passenger capacity, the 7X is estimated to be around $1,000 less per flight hour.
Purchase Price
Prices for the Global 6000 start from just over $62 million when buying from new. Of course, you can easily design your dream Global 6000 using Bombardier’s online configurator.
