Overview & History

The Dassault Falcon 2000S is the entry-level in-production Dassault Falcon business jet.

The Falcon 2000S is a variant of the popular Falcon 2000 line-up which can trace its routes back to the mid 1990’s.

The 2000 range of business jets are a slightly smaller development of the Falcon 900 tri-jet aircraft, with the 2000 line-up featuring two rear mounted engines with transcontinental range.

The original Falcon 2000 made its first flight in March 1993, was certified in 1994 and entered production in 1995.

Since 1995 Dassault Falcon have continually refined and improved the 2000 series of aircraft, with variants such as the 2000EX in 2003, the 2000DX in 2007, the 2000LX in 2009, and the 2000S which was released in 2009.

The Falcon 2000S sits alongside the current in-production Falcon 2000LXS. The Falcon 2000LXS is a replacement of the long-range 2000LX which was released in 2014 and features the short-runway features of the 2000S.

Starting from just under $30 million and there have been over 600 deliveries of all Falcon 2000 variants.

The Falcon 2000 range of aircraft are a popular choice for small groups and individuals who are flying across continents, as it combines a blend of intercontinental range, excellent performance, comfort and value for money.

This series of aircraft are also highly popular among military and government operators, such as the Bulgarian Air Force, Japan Coast Guard and the Royal Thai Police, to name a few.

The Falcon 2000S connects business centers like Paris and Dubai, Moscow and Beijing, Shannon and New York.

Routes beyond the nonstop range of midsize jets — and at a lower cost per nautical mile than most aircraft in its class.

The Falcon 2000S can land at 95% of its maximum take-off weight. Which means you can fill the tanks at home base, where fuel prices are often less expensive.

Then make multiple short hops, and still have plenty of nonstop range without refuelling, saving you time and money.

Dassault Falcon 2000S Performance

The Dassault Falcon 2000S features two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C engines mounted to the rear of the fuselage, with each one producing 7,000 lb of thrust (14,000 lb total).

These engines are able to power the Falcon 2000S to a maximum cruising speed of 453 knots at a maximum cruise altitude of 47,000 feet.

When set up for an efficient cruise the 2000S is capable of flying for 3,350 nautical miles (3,855 miles/6,204 kms) non-stop.

The Falcon 2000S boasts excellent short-field performance for an aircraft of its size, with a take-off distance of 5,436 feet and a required landing distance of just 2,315 feet.

The airfield performance of the Falcon 2000S is extraordinary, thanks in large part, to its optimized, fully slatted wing, and the benefits can be felt from takeoff to touchdown.

Assuring you access to challenging airports with short runways and steep approaches like London City. In fact, the 2000S can comfortably navigate a 6° steep approach, twice as steep as the competition.

It also gives you more range from short fields at high elevations on hot days. And lets you land more slowly, safely and confidently.

The Falcon 2000S has a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 41,000 lbs, features a maximum fuel capacity of 14,600 lbs and has a maximum landing weight of 39,300 lbs.

This space means that moving around the cabin during flight is extremely easy. Falcon cabins have long been among the quietest in the sky.

And now they are even quieter thanks to sound-dampening engine mounts and advanced acoustic insulation.

The Falcon 2000S has a cabin volume in cruise of just 52 dB. The Falcon 2000S also supports your wellbeing with abundant natural light and air that is constantly refreshed, so you arrive at your destination feeling rested and invigorated.

Cabin space has been optimized for efficiency and productivity, with an interior that uses visual design elements to stretch the cabin and create better flow.

Upwash and downwash ambient lights, as well as more contrast between materials further emphasize the spaciousness of the full-size cabin, which provides plenty of arm and leg room for passengers.

The selection is more than handsome. Smart and stylish, each interior makes intelligent use of available space.

And Dassault’s gifted designers show Falcon’s rich textiles, supple leathers and gleaming finishes to their best advantage.

The interior is available in three elegant color and design harmonies. “Sedona” features earthy beige colors for a desert-like ambiance.

“Havana” features a palette of browns while “Alpine” offers contrasts between the crisp colors of an alpine peak and the darker colors of earth and rock.
