Overview & History

The Embraer Praetor 600 has been described as “the world’s most disruptive ad technologically advanced super-midsize business jet”.

The Praetor 600 is an advanced version of Embraer’s Legacy 500. Thanks to more aerodynamically efficient winglets and additional fuel capacity, the Praetor 600 can fly further than the Legacy. Therefore, the Praetor 600 is easily capable of flying transatlantic missions.

For example flying from London to New York, São Paulo to Miami, or Dubai to London – all without needing to refuel.

The Brazilian manufacturer has given the Praetor class-leading comfort, class-leading cabin altitude, and an impressive range.

The Praetor 600 is twinned with the Praetor 500.

Embraer announced the two new aircraft in October 2016 at the NBAA convention. Certification for the 600 was awarded by the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil in April 2019.

The next month the aircraft received its European and US certifications. Embraer was able to deliver the first Praetor 600 to customers in the summer of 2019.

Embraer Praetor 600 Performance

The Praetor 600 is powered by twin rear-mounted HTF7500E engines with each one producing 7,528 lbs of thrust.

This makes the aircraft capable of taking off in just 4,717 feet. When it comes time to land the Praetor 600 needs just 2,165 meters.

The Praetor 600 is capable of cruising at 466 knots at a maximum altitude of 45,000 feet. This can be sustained for a maximum range of 4,018 Nautical Miles (4,623 Miles / 7,441 KM).

Embraer have been able to provide a spacious baggage capacity being able to accommodate 155 cubic feet of luggage. The Max Take-Off Weight (MTOW) for the aircraft comes in at 42,858 lbs.

Embraer Praetor 600 Interior

Embraer has demonstrated thoughtful attention to detail and superior craftsmanship throughout the elegantly conceived 6-foot-tall flat-floor cabin. Interior materials are of the highest standard, while also being durable and lightweight. For example, carbon fiber can be placed throughout the cabin. From bulkheads to tables you can make this aircraft your own.

Thoughtful design decisions have maximized the feeling of space within the cabin. For example, the cabin’s stowable tables can be stowed away and completely hidden. When erected the tables open flush with the side ledge. This provides ample space for you and 11 other passengers (12 passenger capacity total).

The seats throughout the cabin can recline and swivel as you wish to get you sitting in the perfect position. Furthermore, the plush seats can be effortlessly turned into comfortable, fully flat beds.

At the front of the passenger cabin, Embraer has integrated a luxurious stone-floored, highly functional galley. This has been designed to provide you all your desires as you are crossing oceans on a long flight.

From warm coffee to a refreshing drink to a nourishing meal. Embraer has equipped the galley with a microwave, conventional oven, refrigerator, coffee brewer, and beautiful crystal, china, and silverware.

When cruising at 45,000 feet the cabin altitude is just 5,800 feet. The benefit of a low cabin altitude is that it will keep you feeling fresh and rested.

Embraer has also developed the cabin to be ultra-quiet, making the aircraft a perfect environment for working, conversation, or relaxing.

Being one of the most modern business aircraft in the sky, Embraer has left no stone unturned in regards to onboard technology.

Home-like WiFi. Touchscreen cabin controls. Immersive audio and video streaming. Touchscreens are integrated into the overhead panels putting all cabin controls and information at your fingertips.

Embraer has developed an online configurator allowing you to configure out your own aircraft.

Cockpit

Thanks to the latest technology in the cockpit you can be sure that you are in safe hands onboard the Praetor 600.

The Praetor 600 is the only jet in its class to feature Active Turbulence Reduction. This technology helps to increase the safety of the flight, along with maximizing comfort.

The Praetor 600 features full fly-by-wire technology with side-stick controls. Therefore, pilot workload is reduced and a safer, smoother flight experience is introduced.

This technology also enables access to more airports and means easier maintenance for less time in the hangar.

Embraer has equipped the flight deck with the Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion. This technology blends cutting-edge technology with ergonomics.

Naturally, the Praetor 600 features synthetic vision to see what the human eyes can’t. Pilots will therefore be able to perform safer takeoffs, landings, and in-flight operations.
