Overview & History

The Bombardier Global 7500 was announced in October 2010, made its first flight in November 2016, and certified in September 2018, entering service in December of the same year.

The Global 7500 is based on the popular Bombardier Global 6000 and features an increased range (7,700 nautical miles), a longer cabin, and four distinct cabin zones.

The Global 7500 had the longest range of any purpose-built in-production business jet, being able to fly non-stop for 7,700 nautical miles.

This was until the introduction of the Gulfstream G800 and Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft.

This gives the Global 7500 enough range to fly from London to anywhere in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, or the top of Australia without needing to stop.

In October 2019 the Global 7500 set the record for the longest mission ever flown by a purpose-built business jet – a 17-hour flight from Sydney to Detroit, Michigan.

Bombardier Global 7500 Performance

The Bombardier Global 7500 is powered by two rear-mounted GE Passport engines with each one being able to produce 18,920 lbs of thrust (37,840 lbs total).

These General Electric engines are able to power the Global 7500 to a maximum cruise altitude of 51,000 feet and a maximum cruise speed of 516 knots.

The Global 7500 has a maximum range of 7,700 nautical miles, the longest range of any in-production purpose-built business jet.

Thanks to the powerful GE engines the Global 7500 is able to take-off is just 5,800 feet – an impressive take-off distance given the overall size of the aircraft.

Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that the 7500 can land in just 2,520 feet.

These impressive figures, combined with the impressive steep approach support, mean that the Global 7500 is the largest business jet that is capable of accessing London City Airport.

A special feature of the GE Passport engine is that it is a unified propulsion system with advanced health monitoring that delivers exceptional reliability, increased efficiency, lower emissions, and reduced maintenance costs, having been specifically designed for the 7500.

Bombardier Global 7500 Interior

When it comes to the Bombardier Global 7500 interior, every detail has been considered to ensure that you have the most comfortable flight possible.

Firstly, the Global 7500 features a wing that “a technological marvel”, which will not only give the pilots maximum control over the aircraft but will also deliver the smoothest ride possible.

Bombardier has also been able to keep the cabin altitude never exceeding 5,680 feet when cruising at maximum altitude.

This low cabin altitude (lower than you would find on an airliner), will mean that you feel more relaxed during the flight and will arrive at your destination with less jet lag.

Next, there is the sheer size of the cabin interior, measuring 16.59 meters long, 2.44 meters wide, and 1.88 meters.

These dimensions mean that you can easily navigate your way through the cabin and will allow you to configure up to four separate living areas, allowing space for a master suite with a full-size bed, dedicated crew rest area, and kitchen.

The Global 7500 can be configured to your exact needs and features an unprecedented number of layouts.

Throughout the cabin, the Global 7500 features extra-large windows in order to bring in as much natural light as possible, meaning the 7500 provides more natural light in the cabin than any other private jet, and every passenger gets a window.

Every seat in the cabin of the 7500 is Bombardier’s revolutionary Nuage seat.

According to Bombardier, the Nuage seat is the first meaningful change in business aircraft seating in the last 30 years.

The Nuage seat gives users three features that are unavailable in any other business aircraft seat: a tilt link system for a deep recline, a floating base for fluid movement, and a tilting headrest for exceptional support.

The entire cabin of the Global 7500 is lit with Bombardier’s Soleil lighting system, which is business aviation’s first circadian rhythm-based lighting system in order to fight jet lag.

By adjusting the lighting to your destination (and combined with the low cabin altitude), you will experience less jet lag than ever before.

In order to help fight jet lag, the 7500 features a master suite with a full-size bed and a stand-up shower in the En Suite.

The Global aircraft doesn’t stop then when trying to fight the jet lag.

The 7500 is equipped with Bombardier’s Pur Air system, an advanced air purification system that features a HEPA filter that purifies and cleans the air.

Not only can the system provide 100% fresh air, but also purified air with better humidity to provide rapid heating and cooling of the cabin.

Cockpit

Upfront the Bombardier Global 7500 features one of the most advanced cockpits currently available in business aviation, along with being one of the most spacious cockpits in the sky.

Featuring the latest Bombardier Vision flight deck, the 7500 has advanced fly-by-wire technology, superior aesthetics, and a permanent side-facing jump seat.

Bombardier’s proven fly-by-wire system has been engineered with the intent to maximize safety through a balanced design that combines control input freedom with the security of the industry’s most complete flight envelope protection.

All this means that you can relax in the back knowing that your pilots have got everything under control.

Bombardier Global 7500 Charter Cost

The estimated charter cost for a Global 7500 is $15,900 per flight hour.

Purchase Price

The price for a Bombardier Global 7500 starts from $73 million before options.

With the performance of this aircraft, interior comfort, and customizability, it is a very competitive price.

If you are looking for a pre-owned option, there aren’t many Global 7500’s for sale.

Buying a pre-owned unit is going to cost about the same but has the advantage of being available immediately.
