Overview & History

The Bombardier Global 7500 was announced in October 2010, made its first flight in November 2016, and certified in September 2018, entering service in December of the same year.

The Global 7500 is based on the popular Bombardier Global 6000 and features an increased range (7,700 nautical miles), a longer cabin, and four distinct cabin zones.

The Global 7500 had the longest range of any purpose-built in-production business jet, being able to fly non-stop for 7,700 nautical miles.

This was until the introduction of the Gulfstream G800 and Bombardier Global 8000 aircraft.

This gives the Global 7500 enough range to fly from London to anywhere in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, or the top of Australia without needing to stop.

In October 2019 the Global 7500 set the record for the longest mission ever flown by a purpose-built business jet – a 17-hour flight from Sydney to Detroit, Michigan.

Bombardier Global 7500 Performance

The Bombardier Global 7500 is powered by two rear-mounted GE Passport engines with each one being able to produce 18,920 lbs of thrust (37,840 lbs total).

These General Electric engines are able to power the Global 7500 to a maximum cruise altitude of 51,000 feet and a maximum cruise speed of 516 knots.

The Global 7500 has a maximum range of 7,700 nautical miles, the longest range of any in-production purpose-built business jet.

Thanks to the powerful GE engines the Global 7500 is able to take-off is just 5,800 feet – an impressive take-off distance given the overall size of the aircraft.

Perhaps even more impressive is the fact that the 7500 can land in just 2,520 feet.

When it comes to the Bombardier Global 7500 interior, every detail has been considered to ensure that you have the most comfortable flight possible.

Firstly, the Global 7500 features a wing that “a technological marvel”, which will not only give the pilots maximum control over the aircraft but will also deliver the smoothest ride possible.

Bombardier has also been able to keep the cabin altitude never exceeding 5,680 feet when cruising at maximum altitude.
